Gel Removal Process
To effectively remove gel nails, follow these simple steps:
- File the top layer of the gel to break the seal
- Soak cotton pads in acetone
- Place soaked cotton on nails and wrap each finger with aluminum foil
- Wait 15-20 minutes for the gel to soften
- Gently push off the loosened gel using a cuticle stick
- Apply cuticle oil and moisturizer afterward to rehydrate nails
For stubborn gel, you may need to repeat the process. Never force or peel off gel as this can damage your natural nail bed.
