Botulinum Toxin - 3 areas
Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Upper Face) Cheadle
Botulinum toxin type A is a neurotoxic protein widely used in both cosmetic and medical treatments to temporarily reduce muscle activity. This effect helps to minimize wrinkles, resulting in a refreshed and youthful look.
One of the most common Botox treatment areas is the glabella complex, which involves the procerus and corrugator muscles. These muscles create frown lines, often called "11" lines, located between the eyebrows.
Another frequently treated area is the crow’s feet—fine lines that spread out from the outer corners of the eyes, caused by the orbicularis oculi muscles.
The frontalis muscle, responsible for raising the eyebrows and forming horizontal lines on the forehead, can also be treated with Botox. This leads to a smoother and more youthful forehead appearance.
However, caution is advised when treating this area in patients with hooded eyelids, as relaxing the frontalis muscle (which helps lift the brows) may make the eyelids appear heavier or more pronounced.
