TCA Peels - Medium Depth Peels

Trichloroacetic (TCA) peel is a medium depth chemical peel. Higher concentrations result in deeper peels. TCA peel is useful for pigmentation irregularities, such as sun damaged skin and discolouration from pregnancy. It helps wrinkles and other sun damage. Acne and large pores are improved. A strict prep should be performed on the skin 2-4 weeks before this treatment to avoid burns and a strict aftercare should be followed to avoid scarring to the skin. The recovery of this treatment is generally 7 days. The skin does not start to peel until day 3 with peeling being most visible on days 4 and 5.
