The main difference between the single and volume lash extension is the number of extensions used. Classic lash extensions involve applying a single extension to each natural lash. In contrast, volume lash extensions use multiple ultra-fine extensions to create a fan-like effect that provides a more dramatic look. As expected, the number of lashes in a fan and the diameter have an inverse relationship. In order to maintain a constant weight for the fan, an increase in the number of lashes results in a decrease in diameter, and an increase in diameter results in a decrease in the number of lashes. Too many lashes would result in extra weight on natural lashes, so volume lashes are recommended for these clients who have strong natural lashes, with the ability to afford premade volume fans weight.
