Pre-Treatment Guidelines
Follow these instructions to prepare for your procedure:
- Avoid Accutane for 6 months before treatment
- Discontinue use of sensitive skin products 7-14 days prior, including:
- Retinoids
- Exfoliants
- Topical antibiotics
- Acids
- Stop anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil) 3 days before treatment to allow proper skin rejuvenation
- Avoid for 2 weeks prior:
- IPL/Laser procedures
- Unprotected sun exposure
- Sunburn
- No hair removal in treatment area 5-7 days before:
- Waxing
- Depilatory creams
- Electrolysis
- Shave dense hair the day before (not on treatment day) to prevent irritation
- If prone to cold sores, take antiviral medication 2 days before and on treatment day
- Avoid blood thinners for 1 week prior
