Natural Spongilla-Based Peels
These peels use a natural component called Spongilla fluviatilis, a freshwater sponge known for its distinctive biological and healing properties. This sponge is composed of tiny needles, or spicules, which contain trace elements like silicon, phosphorus, and lime — all compatible with the human body.
Thanks to their fine structure, spicules can easily penetrate the dermis, setting off a series of biochemical processes throughout the skin's layers. As the spicules gradually break down through enzymatic activity, they stimulate the skin’s immune response and elevate leukocyte levels. Additionally, the sponge contains a rare protein called spongin, not found elsewhere in nature.
