Pre-Treatment Advice for Semi Permanent Makeup
Following these essential pre-care guidelines will help ensure optimal results and reduce potential complications for your microblading appointment:
Important Items to Avoid:Skincare & Professional Treatments:
- Discontinue AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) skincare products and face peels for a minimum of two weeks prior to treatment
- Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, and dermabrasion procedures for six weeks before your appointment
- Schedule no facial injections (including Botox, dermal fillers, or skin boosters) within one month before or after your procedure
Medications & Supplements:
- Refrain from taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, or other blood-thinning medications and supplements for at least 24 hours before treatment (continue prescribed medications as directed by your physician)
Food & Beverages:
- Eliminate alcohol, coffee, and all caffeinated drinks for 24 hours beforehand, as these substances can heighten sensitivity and increase bleeding risk
- Skip hot and spicy foods on your treatment day
Sun Exposure:
- Limit excessive sun exposure and avoid tanning for at least one week before your treatment
